Objectives

General objective

According to the EU Action Plan for Integration and Inclusion 2021-2024:

Comprehensive integration initiatives for young refugees must be developed, fulfilling integration as a two-way process, reinforcing the role of education and civil society.

Long-term integration efforts should be deployed to boost personal and protective skills, encouraging an active and inclusive civil society

Specifics objectives

• Promote cooperation among NGOs and educational professionals
• Provide a comprehensive overview of the existent practices for refugees’ sustained integration
• Comprehend the needs of young refugees in European countries and those of educational and NGOs practitioners working with them
• Provide an overview of the reality experienced by young refugees in their resettlement journeys
• Capacitate relevant actors on tailored strategies to address the challenges faced by young refugees
• Increase young refugees’ capabilities and key skills
• Improve young refugees’ social connectedness and trust-based relationships with the host community
• Promote communitarian dynamics to enable social awareness, receptivity, and intercultural dialogue, fostering inclusive environments
