REFUGIN 1st KCE – Main Takeaways
The first Knowledge Consolidation Event (KCE) of the REFUGIN project took place in Bucharest, Romania, from the 5th until the 7thof November.
This training event, which is set to be the first out of three, brought together educational and civic practitioners from all partner countries to exchange experiences and know-how in the field of Refugee Integration!
Various topics were addressed, namely:
Legal mechanisms to elicit integration;
National perspectives on the European challenges when integrating youth in refugee-like situations, with a special focus on Romania, Moldova and Poland;
Cooperation opportunities between different stakeholders to achieve a positive and sustainable integration;
Youth engagement, analysing collectively, strategies for strengthening youth autonomy and involvement in the integration process;
Moreover, other activities were conducted to increase the knowledge sharing between participants, such as ice breakers, human bingo and a living library activity!
